Beauty and the Booze Follow-Up

I'm happy to see everyone enjoying my Grog x Reader one-shot. When I originally wrote this story, I hadn't seen a lick of Critical Role. I was only 6 episodes into the animated series on Amazon. I took notice of Grog ogling the pretty lady dragon tapestry (that was actually an illusion) and ran with it thinking, "oh, so that's what he's into."

Since then, I am completely caught up on Critical Role in its entirety. I even read the Origin comics. I have to say, I was a little jealous of the pretty little nymph that Grog interacted with. But hey, I can let it be.

I did end up turning the reader's character into a full-blown OC. Her name is Nira, a gold/brass dragonborn artificer who hails from Byroden. When I can illustrate a better portrait of her, I will post it--along with the other six I've created over time. Character design is my passion, what can I say.

Dragonborn (Gold) - Cleric (Forge) - Clan Crafter - Goldrinn Gildiloch

Backstory Concept: Adopted Son of Galdrenn Gildiloch, Dwarf Smith, Artisan and 3 time drinking champion of the town of Hammer's Fall (formerly Hammer's Rise.). Town was raided by bandits, his father was slain in the process. On a quest to bring those bandits to justice, and everyone else similarly guilty.

Note: Played more like a Paladin than a Cleric. Lacked clear personality.

Appearance: 6′2, 235 lbs. Amber eyes, gold scales. Scales around his chin and jaws are ruff and jagged, giving a beard like appearance, as well as two ‘crests” just above his eyes. Otherwise posses a perfectly smooth head. Wears gilded chainmail, wielding a mace and shield.

Sweetpea is my gold dragonborn bard made for a co-op BG3 game :> She's a lovely, cheery sort, with a knack for performance and staying upbeat despite the grave situation she finds herself in. Sweetpea was left as an egg in a gnome's planter, hence her name, and she was raised by a pair of gnomish tinkerers in Hardbuckler for most of her life.

Sweetpea's character gimmick is that she is actually a fradulent bard, as much as one can be. Her parents refused to pay for bard college despite that being her biggest wish, but they would pay for wizard college, as they viewed magical skill as something worth cultivating. Sweetpea begrudgingly took them up on their offer and did just well enough to graduate, but her biggest takeaway from it was enchanting. Sweetpea convinced her parents to let her go on a journey of sorts to test out her new skill between magic institutions, and instead.... Bought herself a lute, loaded up on supplies, and started to make her way from town to town, performing for coin.

Of course, Sweetpea can't actually play the lute. She has not a clue how to play any instrument! But she sure can enchant it to make it look and sound as if she is-- and her performance and singing skills are more than enough to make up for it. No one's caught on to her yet, at least! And she intends to keep it that way.

I’ve been itching to make a dragonborn for ages but I’m not 100% sure what I’ll use her for or if I’ll tweak her look a bit in the future but I was too excited not to post some lazy shots of her.
